Diver safety & first aid — the DAN Europe training programme

Diving is safest when someone on the boat knows what to do. As a DAN Europe training centre we teach the full diver first-aid chain: emergency oxygen, CPR and defibrillation, on-site neurological assessment and marine-life injury care — up to professional Diver Medical Technician level. Taught in Italian, English, French and German.

Oxygen First Aid for Diving Emergencies

First Aid

Recognise decompression illness and deliver emergency oxygen — DAN's flagship course and the single most useful skill any diver can carry.

Advanced Oxygen First Aid

First Aid

For certified oxygen providers: positive-pressure valves and bag-valve-mask systems for a non-breathing injured diver.

Basic Life Support & Defibrillation

First Aid

CPR combined with an automated external defibrillator (AED) to manage adult sudden cardiac arrest, on land or at the dive site.

First Aid

Secondary care for non-life-threatening injuries — wounds, sprains, burns and illness — for responders already certified in BLS.

On-Site Neurological Assessment

First Aid

Carry out a basic neurological examination of an injured diver on site and pass clear findings to the emergency services.

Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

First Aid

Identify hazardous marine species and give the correct first aid for stings, bites and envenomations.

Diving Emergency Specialist
